Frequently asked

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This removes your account and everything stored in Numero’s cloud: meals, photos, logs, weight entries and profile. It cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, email support@getnumero.app from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription; see the next answer.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Numero Pro is billed by Apple, so it is cancelled in Apple’s settings, not in Numero:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Numero, then Cancel Subscription.

You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I paid for Pro but the app says I’m on the free plan. How do I restore purchases?

Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the subscription, then open Settings → Subscription → Restore purchase in Numero. This asks Apple for your receipt and unlocks Pro again. If it still does not take, email us with the Apple receipt email and we will sort it out.

How do Apple Health permissions work?

Numero asks for Health access the first time you turn on the Apple Health connection under Settings → Movement & Health. It can read dietary data (food logged by other apps) and workouts, and, if you turn the option on, write meals, weight and workouts back to Health.

To change what Numero can see or write, open iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Numero. If the connection seems stuck, check that the categories you expect are turned on there; iOS does not let apps re-ask once you have answered. Health data is synced to your Numero account only for backup and sync; it is never used for anything else. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Why does an estimate look wrong?

A photo shows the surface of a plate, not what is under it or in it. Oil, butter, sauces, sugar in drinks, and how deep a bowl is are the usual culprits. Numero labels every line with where the number came from (a brand database, a USDA entry, or an estimate) so you can see which parts are solid and which are a guess. Lighting, an unusual angle, or food that hides other food will push an estimate further off.

You can fix any line on the meal screen: tap an item to change what it is or how much of it there is, and the totals update. When the camera can’t tell, adding a short voice note (“that’s a tablespoon of olive oil, and the rice is about a cup”) usually lands the read.

How do I report a bad read?

Open the meal and scroll to the bottom of the meal screen, then tap Numbers look wrong? Report this read. Tell us what was actually on the plate. That sends the meal to us so we can see what went wrong and make the analysis better. Reported meals are the only meals we look at; everything else stays private to you.
